When I was asked to do this poster I was thrilled. I already had a 70s retro vibe I wanted to do just from hearing the title alone. I was sent a group photo with around 8 people in it and basically had to separate everyone out of the photo to make this poster come to life. Kimm

When Arlene and I were talking on the phone about her concept of her short film, I wanted to do something a bit more artistic, novelesque, and different from most with a Edgar Allan Poe edge but still my own. I do not like to copy other peoples work. I like to talk to the director on the phone and while they tell me the story they are trying to create through their own excitement, I form my own excitement in my mind to create a palette different then the rest to stand on its own. This was a fun one to create.

After hearing the story on Rescued Innocence a few times throughout the year. As the idea of filming got closer, I was asked to create a film poster for this project. They already had an initial poster, I felt it wasn’t fitting with the storyline and was told to just use my creativity and do what I felt was right that they trusted within me to do a great job. When I showed the director he said it was way more than expected but knew by my work it wouldn’t be any less. This poster I feel is more fitting.

I was working on this project as an actress and I remember sitting on my lunch break talking to Joe, The Director, and showing him all my artwork on my phone, he was very impressed and tossed the idea about a Cassandra poster. It is about a ghost living in the attic of this couples home that is having their own troubles and even more so when Cassandra is around. Kinda like a cute Beetlejuice. The poster was fun to create as well as playing the character Linda in the film.
